Da Paws Place

Chris Edmark

Owner of Da Paws Place and certified Dog Trainer. Able to take a novice dog to competition status while they enjoy it!

This is my encore career as I phase into retirement.
Like most little girls, I loved dogs and wanted to train them.  I discovered it is not the dogs that needed training. So I train people for their dogs. Hence the sayings Bring your Human and Da Paws Place.

My passion is to teach the human part of the partnership, make my students love playing agility with their dogs, giving them confidence to train, to trust, and be exciting to their dogs. The five C’s are not just for diamonds: Clarity, Communication, Confidence, Connection, Commitment.

In the three years since we opened the arena. Henry has earned two C-atches, Gunner his C-atch and our newest dog Ziggy has earned his C-atch this year. Our inspiration has come from Blynn Baker. We are now adding Susan Garrett’s H360 style of predictive cueing to our handling skills.
